The tea ☕

  • In July 2026, CNN reported that Collins's son-in-law ran social media accounts that pushed white nationalist and antisemitic content. Collins said his son-in-law has no role in the campaign and that he condemns racism and antisemitism. Ossoff pressed him about it more than a dozen times in their first debate.
  • In August 2026, photos surfaced of a former Collins campaign staffer posing in a Ku Klux Klan uniform. The campaign called the posts 'vile' and said he no longer works there.
  • The House Ethics Committee is investigating Collins and his former chief of staff over about $5,000 paid to an intern for work she did not do. Collins calls it a bogus complaint, and there is no final decision yet.
  • In the debate, Collins demanded Ossoff return money from Reid Hoffman, who met Jeffrey Epstein and says he regrets it. Hoffman gave $7,000 to Ossoff and $1 million to a PAC tied to him. Hoffman has not been accused of wrongdoing.
  • The debates got personal. Ossoff said Collins 'hired half the Third Reich' for his office. Collins called Ossoff a 'coward' and a 'globe-trotting trust fund kid.'
  • In May 2026, Collins's official account posted a crude comment about a rival adviser's wife. Collins apologized and fired a staffer.
  • Reputable outlets have not reported a scandal in Ossoff's Senate record. His older controversies include living just outside the district he ran in during 2017 and using family money to fund his media company.
