Juliana Stratton has been Illinois lieutenant governor since 2019. She served in the state House before that. Gov. JB Pritzker backed her the day she entered the race, and she won a three-way primary in March.

Don Tracy is a lawyer who chaired the Illinois Republican Party from 2021 to 2024. He also sat on the state Gaming Board. He ran for lieutenant governor in 2010.

- Stratton's campaign said the late Jesse Jackson had endorsed her. His family later walked that claim back.
